Step one: Open Keynote and choose the white theme.
Step two: Click 'document' on the far right corner of the window.
Step three: click on custom slide size and change the dimensions to [1280 x 720]
Step four: click on format tool bar [next to animate]. In the background drop down menu click image fill.
Step five: Click on 'choose' and select the image you want as the background.
Step Six: Above the choose button you can edit how your background is viewed.
For this image I like the 'tile' look but must people like to 'scale to fit'.
Step Seven: Edit your text. Add the text you would like to show in the opening of your youtube video.
I'm adding a picture instead of my youtube banner. So I have deleted the two text boxes and I'm going to drag the image into keynote.
Step Eight: Edit your animation for your text | image by clicking on the 'Animate' tab found in the right hand corner of keynote. Play around with the animation effects and duration.
Step Nine: IMPORTANT
Click on 'build order' at the bottom of the page then select 'after transition' in the start drop down box.
Step Ten: Make sure nothing is selected [text/ image]. In the animate menu choose how you want your intro to transition out from your intro.
Step Eleven: IMPORTANT
Make sure your transition is on 'automatically'
Press Play and tweek what you need to do before exporting.
Step Twelve: Once your happy with your intro export to QuickTime play and the next time you edit in imovie | final cut pro import the clip. TOO EASY!!!!!!
